We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Records Clerk.
As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining and organizing patient medical records in a healthcare setting.
This is an important role that ensures accurate and efficient record-keeping for patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain patient medical records in accordance with established procedures and guidelines - Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information - Retrieve and file medical records as needed - Scan and digitize paper records into electronic systems - Verify the accuracy and completeness of medical records - Respond to requests for medical records from authorized individuals or organizations - Follow proper protocols for record retention and disposal
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred - Familiarity with medical terminology and basic understanding of medical procedures - Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems or other record management software - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record maintenance - Excellent organizational skills to manage large volumes of records efficiently - Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision Job Type:
