The VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21) is one of 18 Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs) in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The Network serves Veterans in Northern and Central California, Nevada, Hawaii, the Philippines and U.S. Territories in the Pacific Basin. With a total of 67 sites of care, VISN 21 provides a continuum of comprehensive health care services through seven VA Medical Centers, nine co-located Community Living Centers and 41 Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). The seven health care systems are of varying size and complexity:

N/A The Associate Chief Nurse (Connected Care) is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling VISN-wide CC nursing infrastructure issues which include overall operation of the VISN CC nursing program, responding to internal and external communications, maintaining knowledge of and communicating standards of nursing practice and patient care, business practice, and developing systems to enhance overall operations and nursing communications within the VISN CC program. Duties include but are not limited to:
Provides leadership, strategic assessment, and planning to address highly complex ethical and bioethical issues for Veterans in underserved areas and protect patient and family rights. Responsible for assessing and recommending the human and materiel resources for the VISN CCP and collaborating with other Program Offices and programs, such as Office of Primary Care, National Clinical Resource Hub Leadership, Office of Connected Care, Office of Mental Health, Office of Specialty Care (10P4), and other VACO Clinical Program Offices in providing recommended nursing staffing level models for Clinical Resource Hubs and Connected Care programs. Assesses, plans, and evaluates the processes and operations of the VISN CCP, providing consultation, mentoring, and training related to CC policies and processes to CRH and facility nursing staff. Collaborates with network business and clinical leadership to monitor quality and safety within the VISN CC program. Collaborates with the OCC Quality Managers and the National CRH Quality Manager to perform Quality reviews; reviewing Performance Measures and other quality data for trends and early intervention, as well as adherence to program requirements. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
